The Knowles Nelson Stewardship Program in Wisconsin provides funds for cities, counties, non-profit groups, and the state to purchase land for land and water conservation. When the program was reaching a deadline for renewal from the state legislator, the many non-profit groups that support and benefit from the program began a campaign push to strengthen the program awareness and support from the state. But many people had never heard of it. With a desire to create an advocacy campaign for community participation, Team Knowles Nelson was born. Featuring brightly-colored visuals that pull their inspiration from the Wisconsin landscape and a family of flexible graphics for print collateral, email, and social media, a new audience realized the importance of Team Knowles Nelson. As a result of a year-long campaign, the program received a two-year renewal from the legislature. The Knowles Nelson Team continues to strengthen the program and reach a larger audience across the state.
“We are so pleased with Kathryn's work! We offered a basic concept of what we needed and she did an amazing job of listening closely to us and bringing her own creativity to the project. She always stayed on deadline, responded promptly to feedback, and brought such great energy to the work. Her designs have become the centerpiece of our advocacy campaign, and we receive compliments on the graphics all the time.”
