I’m Kat. I love art, design, stories, and the written word. And I can’t wait to collaborate in telling your story.
For a long time, I didn’t know I was a designer. In fact, I was headed down the path to becoming a high school English teacher when I discovered my passion for design. Now I’m a California native navigating Midwest winters and bringing my commitment and drive to my clients.
Over the last decade, I’ve focused on creating engaging visuals to express the aspirations, histories, and personalities of my clients. Taking advantage of the large variety of tools I’ve gained over the years, I make sure that I come to the table with well-thought-out concepts, solid strategies, and a multi-faceted approach to visual communications.
In my role as Senior Designer and Content Strategist at ZEBRADOG in Madison, WI, I had the pleasure of working on experiential design, branding, print design, and digital projects for a variety of higher education, museum, and corporate clients including Livsreise Norwegian Heritage Center, Jacob Leinenkugel’s Brewing Co., the Green Bay Packers, the University of Wisconsin, Duke University, and many others.
As a freelance designer, writer, and strategic thinker, I focus on helping those in the non-profit, arts, and creative industries with graphic and website design services at an affordable price so they can tell their stories, reach the right audience, and stay within budget. When not designing for my clients, you can find me mentoring new designers as an instructor in Web & Digital Media and Graphic Design at Madison College.
